The city of Kolhapur, situated on the banks of river Panchganga, is a city known for its historical forts, temples and royal places of royalty. Kolhapur Airport plays a main role in coming to this city, but the increasing crowd has become a problem for many passengers. Kolhapur airport is all set to be converted into a world class airport. Keeping in view the huge passenger traffic growth at Kolhapur Airport, the Airports Authority of India has taken a major decision. It has started the work of developing the airport to increase the capacity.
